SWISS is preparing to withdraw the aircraft that introduced the Bombardier CSeries — and ultimately the Airbus A220 — to commercial service. Only four of the airline’s original nine Airbus A220-100s remain operational, but all are expected to leave service by the end of 2027. Two of the aircraft are already being parted out, meaning the launch customer is moving toward operating without the smaller A220 variant barely a decade after its historic first flight.
