Southwest Airlines exceeded 100 daily international departures for the first time in the summer of 2026, a record for a carrier that did not fly outside the US until 2014. According to Cirium schedule data, the airline has 10,703 international departures planned between August and April 2027 across 81 routes serving Mexico, the Caribbean, and Central America. The milestone marks the fastest period of international growth in Southwest’s 55-year history.
