The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) expects to screen about 18.7 million passengers at airport security checkpoints during the upcoming Fourth of July travel period, making it one of the busiest holiday travel windows in the agency’s history. The forecast covers the seven-day period from June 30 through July 6, with officials anticipating more than three million travelers on Thursday, July 2, alone, the busiest single day of the holiday period.
